Whoknows. Against the express wishes of her father, Beauty agrees to the bargain, even when she thinks the Beast will kill her. But this turns out to be an empty threat since Beast treats her extremely well from the moment she arrives. Belle in the Disney movie doesn't have as smooth of a sailing experience.
